Job Description

Mattel ANZ are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Manager to drive growth in the Consumer Products team across Australia and New Zealand. This role will focus on driving business development executing highimpact strategies and overseeing the daytoday operations of the CP team. The successful candidate for this role will bring strong experience in the licensing industry advanced negotiation skills and a proactive mindset with a passion for challenging the status quo and delivering sustained commercial success.

As Senior Consumer Products Manager your impact will be seen by:

  • Creating overall strategic plans for consumer products business and leading the development and execution of business plans.
  • Conducting financial and market analysis of product categories and potential licensees to determine opportunity for growth of consumer products
  • Identifying new licensing/product development opportunities with established licensees as well as sourcing new partners.
  • Establishing and managing licensee and growth targets and optimizing business through planning and review meetings.
  • Contract management and forecasting responsibility for assigned categories.
  • Developing strong retailer relationships at the buyer level (and above) to drive retail buying commitment for Mattel consumer products and new business opportunities.
  • Partnering with regional/global CP Marketing and Sales teams to launch new licensed products and align on category and account strategies.
  • Leading mentoring and managing the Australia Consumer Products team.

Qualifications :

  • 10 years industry/associated experience.
  • Thorough understanding of licensing processes and procedures as well as laws/regulations.
  • Prior management experience within licensing or related area.
  • Prior experience managing a direct report.
  • Advanced ability to foster relationships in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Sales experience and knowledge of retail environment especially the ANZ mass market.
  • Business/Financial acumen profit oriented demonstrates the ability to analyse and understand financial data control costs and to measure business performance.
