Job Description

SALARY: Support Exempt M 12month)

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Support Services Coordinator will assist with the implementation and evaluation of the MultiTiered System of Support with a particular focus on all tiers of MTSS Behavior. This will include facilitating district and site teams that directly address the behavioral needs of students schoolwideinservice education programs for staff provide direction and oversight to Support Services behavior team will work with data team to create build and scale data platforms across the district.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.

  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to integrate all tiers of MTSS into schoolwide framework.
  • Support schools in creating and sustaining effective Tier 2/3 behavioral and socialemotional interventions.
  • Ensure MTSS practices are compliant with district state and federal policies. Lead efforts to collect and analyze behavioral and attendance data across the district.
  • Provide data packages and analysis to evaluate student performance intervention effectiveness and progress toward strategic plan goals.
  • Oversee the use of data systems for tracking student progress and MTSS implementation.
  • Use data to help guide the districts strategic planning process specific to MTSSB.
  • Partner with instructional leaders to integrate data driven practices in classroom instruction.
  • Ensure effective communication between Student services and other district departments and schools.
  • Other tasks as deemed necessary or related to the responsibilities of the position.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

  • Bachelors Degree Social Work Psychology or related field preferred. Masters or Doctorate preferred.
  • Three 3 years of experience
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education would meet the minimum requirement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (position requirements at entry):

Skills:

  • Education training experience and knowledge in scientifically based prevention and intervention programs in Multi Tiered Systems of Support.
  • Training and experience in the evaluation and determination of needs for and individuals and groups.
  • Training and experience in the provision of mental health services to meet identified needs for individuals families and groups.
  • Experience in conducting trainings workshops and classroom presentations.
  • Experience working with youth and families in crisis.
  • Knowledge of community resources linkage protocols interagency referral processes and effective procedures for followup and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to ethnic cultural and socioeconomic influences on the student.
  • Demonstrate skills in intervention assessment and referrals.
  • Knowledge of computer applications for data analysis and data storage.
  • Knowledge of and experience in team building and the implementation and maintenance of effective team processes.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in survey development and other evaluation methods.
  • Experience in data analysis and use of data for decision making.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class typically require: stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting finger dexterity grasping talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts odors chemicals extreme temperatures inadequate lighting workspace restrictions and intense noises.
