Job Description
Paraprofessional Getting Ready for Kindergarten Summer Program
Background This program will be open to newly enrolled Waltham Public School students entering kindergarten in September 2025 whose families report a language other than English spoken at home on the HLS. Priority will be given to students who are the first in their families to attend US schools. The ML department will collaborate with the PIC and Waltham Family School to recruit students and families for this program.
Objectives: * To preview and provide guided practice on the structure of kindergarten for students for newly enrolled students. * To preview and provide direct instruction for families on the structure of US schools (including early release days how to know when your child is sick bus stops and bus expectations community resources (Welcome Center WPY WFS afterschool programming etc)
Program Dates: JulyAugust 5 7th from 911
Location: 510 Moody Street Waltham
Total Stipend $2600 $26 x 100 hours)
