Position Summary: We seek a highly skilled dynamic and versatile Science Teacher passionate about integrating Biblical principles into their curriculum and instructional practices. This individual will be able to teach skills and competencies necessary to support students in learning and exploring scientific processes. As a key member of our science department the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Science and demonstrate the ability to inspire and challenge students toward academic excellence.

The ideal candidate will not only exhibit a deep understanding of scientific content but also a sincere commitment to infusing a Biblical worldview into every aspect of teaching. At our core we believe that science is a means of discovering more about Gods creation revealing His order creativity and purpose. This perspective encourages students to not just see science as a collection of facts but as a way to understand the majesty and intricacy of Gods design.

• Possess a strong understanding of core scientific disciplines including Life Science Physical Science and Scientific Inquiry and demonstrate the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear engaging and ageappropriate manner
• Demonstrate the ability to use educational technology tools to maximize student learning
• Utilize differentiated instruction techniques to increase student success
• Integrate a Biblical worldview into the science curriculum fostering a deeper understanding of the relationship between faith and science and encouraging students to explore principles that reflect Gods order and design
• Demonstrate outstanding proficiency in both written and verbal communication exhibiting strong interpersonal skills that foster effective collaboration with students colleagues and parents
• Promote a steadfast dedication to fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages critical thinking effective communication and active participation
• Possess a strong ability to collaborate on lesson planning curriculum development instructional strategies and assessment methods with the Middle School Science Department the vertical High School Science team and the LLC (Legacy Learning Lab) team
• Skilled in the area of classroom management and positive behavioral supports
• Express an authentic enthusiasm for continuous professional development and a dedicated commitment to personal and pedagogical growth as a Science teacher

Education/Experience:

Hold a Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Science Education or related field

Valid Texas teacher certification preferred

Language Ability:

Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral expression; ability to relate effectively with trustees school personnel parents students and other school constituent groups and individuals Read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of students and staff.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of school management software; and basic office software.
