PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Monitor live vessel yard and gate operations to ensure smooth and to meet operational targets
• Ensure of the work instructions in the system with no stoppages
• Proactively maintain an efficient deployment of terminal CHE using Primeroute or crane pooling.
• Handling all the stops related to the ShCs DSTSs or ARMGs.
• Coordinate with the RCCs. RCCC ShCO QCCs to make the operation going smoothly and perform the maximum productivity.
• Proactively avoid operational wastes by always performing sanity checks on the plans for the next 1hour and advise next course of action
• Be the first line of support for all other functions in case of exceptions during operations executions
• Perform root cause analysis on operational failures including systems and take ownership of the follow up process through resolution
• Collaborate with other functions in the Integrated Operations Center for diligent resolution of exceptions and process improvements
• While the position reports into the IOC supervisor the incumbent is to work closely with the planning function
• Follow all safety regulations while working in the terminal area and to address persons they encounter who are not complying with terminal safety regulations.
• Training all the new PCOs hired internally or externally and making sure that the knowledge is transferred.
• Be actively involved in continuous improvement projects to support the achievement of targeted volume and productivity levels
• Perform other duties as required

Who are we looking for:

• Master of Science in Information Technology or Automation OR Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree OR any other related degree
• Experience/Skills in software development is a plus
• Lean & Six Sigma certification is a differentiator
• Understands safety regulations safe working procedures and safe materials handling procedures
• Previous experience in automated production or manufacturing is a plus
• Works well under pressure and able to focus on details
• Requires advanced level of verbal and written communications skills in English
• High level of integrity and able to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment
• Proven demonstrated ability to be a team player and can work independently within the defined project maintaining good relationship to customer staff and other project team members.
• Must have good analytical skills to be able to provide solutions to issues/exception in a relatively short timeframe

Operations planner

Opportunity

• Assume responsibility for the entire Cargo Control Process.
• Process various vessel related EDIs and follow up on their timely submission as applicable
• Ensure that the loadlists are finalized in time prior to the vessel ETA. Clarify issues with the shipping lines to mitigate disputes.
• Interact closely with the shipping lines regarding additional changes after set cutoff time has passed.
• Ensure a timely delivery of Terminal Report per vessel call and prepare pre billing file
• Ensure close collaboration with the relevant counter parts at Liner Operations Cluster (LOC) and the Global Stowage Planners.
• Investigate and document service failures and report them to the appropriate parties.
• Respond to inquiries related to Terminal Departure Reports for vessels no longer at berth.
• Responsible for providing vessel and shipping agents with information about vessel load and discharge processes.
• Maintain ownership of the vessels under your control and assist if planning disturbances occur during vessel call.
• Ensure efficient and highly productive planning as per established standard with due consideration to the vessel stability and safety under load and discharge.
• Prepares and communicates vessel load plans and vessel work plans.
• Keeps the quayoperation and vessel administration systems updated.
• Controls the of the vessel operation plan.
• Preparation and of vessel discharge and load sequence to support achieve & sustain productivity targets per quay crane operation
• Manage and control the of the vessel operation plan ensuring that the vessel file is closed within one hour of the completion of vessel operations.
• Filing and housekeeping of planning related papers in accordance with standard operating procedures. Also maintain that all vessels receive paper work in a timely manner.
• Provide all loading documents and quay crane working sequence to vessel prior or latest upon arrival. Ensure that all vessels receive final departure paper work in a timely manner
• Understand vessel stability and safety under discharge and load criteria and whether intended discharge and load plan meets those criteria
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset by actively seeking ways to reduce wastes in operations through a better planning
• Constantly seek look for ways to improve own skills level in using the terminal operating system
• Work hand in hand with other sections of the operations to achieve the department wide goals
• Act as an active member of the Integrated Operations Center and actively collaborate with all functions therein to ensure smooth operations executions

• Ensure container decking is planned to follow strictly the set yard strategy
• Maintain all yard planning related parameters /settings in the Terminal Operating System (TOS) to ensure smooth of operations
• Provide alternative plan in case of deviation /exception during to ensure with the aim of adhering to the yard strategy and established standards
• Work closely with the yard strategist and other planning staff to ensure plans are coordinated and provide best possible performance to the operations as a whole
• Manage continuous process of yard integrity and ensure yard inventory between the TOS and the ARMG block management system remains on par.
• Responsible daily for ensuring that proper plan is set for the yard operation to run in a manner that achieves maximum productivity and efficiency with 100 system integrity as it relates to equipment location.
• Reduce unproductive moves to the bear minimum required.
• Monitor and finetune the terminal operating system to ensure that yard planning is satisfactory and meets the strategy requirements.
• Nominate empty equipment for shipment as directed by the concerned shipping line.
• Constantly seek look for ways to improve own skills level in using the terminal operating system
• Work hand in hand with other sections of the operations to achieve the department wide goals
• Act as an active member of the Integrated Operations Centre and actively collaborate with all functions therein to ensure smooth operations executions
• The key impact of this incumbent will be the maintenance of operational efficiencies in the terminal. Responsibility for the of day to day operational activities.

• Master or Engineering degree in relevant fields (IT mechanic automation civil Industrial statistics business administration or alike)
