The Finance function at Horizontal is looking for a handson Accountant to join and make a meaningful impact to the department. This role reports to the Global Financial Controller and will be a key contributor to handle the daytoday accounting needs for our EMEA region offices (UAE KSA UK).
What youll do:
- Bank Transactions & Reconciliation:
- Post journal entries on the ERP system ensuring accuracy and alignment with bank statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- MonthEnd Closing & Financial Reporting:
- Process prepaid expenses provisions and accrual entries for accurate financial closing.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and monthend reports.
- Accounts Receivable (A/R) & Accounts Payable (A/P):
- Process customer invoices collections and payments while ensuring accurate records.
- Handle supplier invoices payments and reconciliations.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Fixed Assets Management:
- Maintain an accurate fixed asset register and track acquisitions disposals and movements.
- Calculate and post depreciation entries in compliance with accounting standards.
- Audit & Compliance Support:
- Assist with external and internal audits by preparing required financial data and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies tax regulations and company procedures.
- Work with local leaders
Who you are:
- Selfmotivated organized and detail driven.
- Able to work in a fastpaced environment in a growing and expanding company.
- Passionate about accounting systems and process improvement.
- Takes initiative to understand the business and develop productive relationships with business personnel.
What you bring:
- Degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 47 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Great communication skills English
- Previous professional service industry experience a plus.
- Strong reconciliation & reporting skills with attention to detail.
