ABOUT THE ROLE
Hours of work: variable including week days weekends evenings and nights.
Salary: 12.60 per hour
Reports to: House Leader/Depute House Leader
Place of work: LArche Highland Community Houses Inverness
Contract type: Relief

This role is not open for sponsorship and is best suited for candidates who already live in Inverness or the Highland area.
This role may not be suitable for those living more than 30 miles away due to public transport limitations.
Main purpose of the role:
As a Relief Care and Support worker you will support people with learning disabilities living in a variety of settings in line with agreed support and care plans in all aspects of their everyday lives. You will deliver practical physical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities whilst proactively promoting choice independence and selfdetermination.
Person Centred Support
You will:
Provide high quality support to people with learning disabilities in line with LArche values policies and procedures;
Support of people with learning disabilities
You will:
Assist with the personal hygiene dress and health needs of individuals in their home;
Facilitate individuals to meet their leisure social practical and spiritual needs;
Encourage individuals to in their ongoing development of independence;
Building an atmosphere of mutual relationships
You will:
Foster positive relationships with both assistants and people with a learning disability;
Assist in celebrations and support spiritual life so that there is an atmosphere of welcome and friendship;

We are part of a global network of communities where people with and without learning disabilities live and share in life together working for a world where we all belong.
We currently have five houses where people are supported to live as part of their wider neighbourhood as well as our wellregarded workshops. We also support people to live in their own properties.
