Job Description

Description

Research Assistant required for primary mathematics (fractions) lesson study project. The Research Assistant will conduct a systematics review of curriculum documents across five countries and collect and analyse data of teacher meetings and maths lessons.

Start Date:1st May 2025
End Date: 20th June 2025
Working Hours:105 hours in total
Pay Rate: 16.65per hour plus holiday pay
Location: Dearing Building or home
Dress Code: None

The duties will include:

  • Systematics review of curriculum documents.
  • Video data collection of teacher meetings and lessons.
  • Transcription and analysis of qualitative data.
  • Attend research team meetings.

Skills and experience required for the role:

  • Knowledge of primary mathematics teaching.
  • Experience of handling confidential research data.
  • Knowledge of qualitative research approaches in education.

What you can expect to gain during this role:

  • Experience of working on a research project.
  • Experience of data analysis.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required.
