JOB SUMMARY:

Securitas is a dynamic and innovative Security company dedicated to making the world a safer place. We believe in fostering talent and providing opportunities for growth.

We offer students the opportunity to spend a summer working at one of Securitas US Operating Centers. This internship program offers current college students with realworld application of business within the North America Shared Services organization. You will participate in a 10 to 12 week internship located in Charlotte NC for 2032 hours per week.

As a Talent Development Intern you will be an integral part of our team contributing to realworld projects and gaining valuable experience in the field of learning and development. You will have an opportunity to share new perspectives fresh ideas specialized strengths and technical skills to help grow our business.

Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Talent Development Team

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining training materials and resources.
  • Update and improve the folder structure and filesaving methods for the Talent Development team.
  • Support trainers in updating and refining training materials.
  • Attend trainers meetings documenting decisions and milestones.
    Training and Tools
  • Draft tools for organization and team collaboration that can be used within Securitas.
  • Create training on how to leverage MS tools and best practices for other departments.
  • Share best practices for optimization tools through technology that help departments work better together
  • Other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Adult Education Human Resources Business Administration Psychology/Social Services or other related business major with an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 May 2027.
    Competencies (as demonstrated through experience training and/or testing):
  • PC experience is necessary; knowledge of Excel Word SharePoint and PowerPoint is required.
  • Ensures accountability.
  • Effective communication.
  • Ability to successfully manage work relationships with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective collaboration skills in working with teams and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning organization analytical problem solving and time management skills.
  • Actionoriented.

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities executives clients staff and the public occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
  • Successful passage of background reference psychological and controlled substance tests.
  • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
