As a Principal Software Engineer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of clean energy transportation by leading the development and optimization of our backend services using OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) and power management technologies.
Job Overview
As a Principal Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design architecture and development of robust and scalable backend services that form the core of our electric vehicle charging infrastructure and intelligent power management platform. Your experience writing critical performant and realtime services inGo will be critical in driving innovation and success in our products.
Requirements
- Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related fields.
- Proven experience 8 years) in backend software development using Go with a strong understanding of data structures algorithms and concurrency.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with realtime APIs using websockets.
- Familiarity with cloud services (GCP AWS Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in database systems such as PostgreSQL.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic startup environment.
- Prior experience in the electric vehicle clean energy industry or the OCPP protocol is a plus.

Compensation
Gravity offers a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills expertise and contribution to the success of our company. The typical base pay range for this roleis USD $180000 $250000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible forother compensation.
