Job Description
Banyan Search is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join one of our clients in the construction and homebuilding industry. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in keeping financial operations running smoothly. Youll manage accounts payable oversee financial reporting and work closely with construction and development teams to ensure everything stays on track. This role is perfect for someone who loves numbers understands construction finances and enjoys working with a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle accounts payable making sure vendors and subcontractors get paid accurately and on time.
- Manage bank draw submissions to ensure construction projects have the funding they need.
- Keep the general ledger accurate and prepare financial reports for ongoing projects.
- Use financial software (i.e. Home Front and Sage 300 (CRE) to track budgets job costs and financial data.
- Work closely with construction managers developers and financial teams to keep everything running smoothly.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and improve financial processes.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- At least 3 years of accounting experience preferably in construction or real estate development
- Familiarity with financial software (e.g. Home Front Sage 300 (CRE
- Strong understanding of bank draw processes construction loan administration and job costing
- Experience with accounts payable
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budget management
- Detailoriented organized and able to work in a fastpaced environment
- Experience in homebuilding financial operations or real estate development a plus
