Job Description
OCEANDRIVE SERVICES seeks for its Client a leading group in submarine telecoms a Survey Engineer H/F.
The Survey Engineer interface with the client during engineering phase to acquire and validate all relevant survey data when data is provided by client.
On an iterative process with the project team develop cable routings to deal with the project specific constraints:
- Cable Vessel installation capability
- Cable System technical limitation
- Seabed and Environment.
- Client Requests
During project the Survey Engineer is in charge of collecting all prerequisite documentation in anticipation of the offshore operations and follow up with the onboard survey team leader during the installation of the wet plant. This task includes ensuring the survey data format is compliant with the navigation software mobilized onboard the installation vessel.
The Survey Engineer is the owner of the cable route and layout and ensures that lay plans are in place and when necessary amend or create new routing.
The Survey Engineer prepares the operations reports template files to meet the clients requirements. At the completion of the operations the Survey Engineer review and validate the documentation package (data documentation and reports) before the final report delivered to the client. Client comments and corrections are integrated for the final revision.
- QC process of the operational documentation between ASN Marine Office and vessels
- Route Development from the preliminary route proposed at BID stage
- Deliver in due time the suitable documentation and reporting requirements to the vessels
- Support the survey team during the operations
- Followup of the daily progress of operations the associated data reception; and ensure the data formatting is compliant with standards for final report requirements
- In charge of the creation and the delivery of the final report.
Profil
- Experience as offshore surveyor is mandatory experience with cable installation is a plus
- Experience with CAD and GIS software(Autocad / ArcMap / Global Mapper / Geomedia)
- Experience with Makai software is a plus
- Good knowledge in Geodesy
- Capacity to understand complex problems and suggest new methods or solutions
- Good English level (work in a multicultural environment with English as main working language)
- Good Knowledge of Word Excel and Adobe
- Good communication skills (work in project mode)
- Ability to work on several project at the same time
- Dynamic independent and solution oriented.
