We are dedicated to being leaders in integrated healthcare and were seeking a passionate Grounds Officer to maintain and enhance the outdoor aesthetic of our properties across the Central precincts: Fitzroy North Altona Whittlesea and Donvale.
As a Grounds Officer you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and visual appeal of TLC Healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the outdoor aesthetic of all TLC propertys. This includes tasks such as mowing lawns planting flowers and trees pruning shrubs and maintaining irrigation systems. Grounds officers also handle tasks like weeding applying fertiliser pressure washing gutter cleaning and operating landscaping equipment.
Hours of work
Thisis afulltimeongoing role working Monday to Friday and possible occasional out of hours work.
What youll be doing
- Aspects of both major and minor grounds tasks throughout including pruning of shrubs hedges trees control and spraying of weeds fertilising and mulching to accepted horticultural industry standards.
- Garden refurbishment/relandscaping
- Identify and report on any trip hazards on pathways and lawn areas. Undertake minor paving repairs.
- Monitor and report on condition of trees and infrastructure. Report any damaged infrastructure either identified during or because of undertaking grounds works.
- Maintain irrigation systems
- Cleaning of gutters
- Pressure washing of buildings pathways
- Undertake routine preventative maintenance and respond to reactive maintenance requirements including minor and common area maintenance in the absence of the Maintenance Officer. Assist the Maintenance Officer if required when a 2person task is to be undertaken.
