Job Title: Contract EC&I Design Engineer

Hourly Rate: Up to 52 per hour outside IR35
Hours: 40 hours per week Core hours 10:00am to 4:00pm working hours either 8:00am to 4:00pm or 10:00am to 6:00pm
Contract/Permanent: Contract
Site Based/Office/Remote: The first two weeks office based 5 days per week however after that initial 2 weeks 2 days in office & 3 days remote

Job Overview:
As an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of the gas sector while advancing your own professional journey.
Our client has truly innovated the gas industry and have paved the way developing technologies and solutions used throughout the UK. The next chapter is to aid in the gas industries transition to net zero and are looking for passionate people to join the team.
Responsibilities:
Design and deploy cuttingedge EC&I solutions ensuring compliance with industry standards such as explosion protection concepts (ATEX Intrinsically Safe Circuits).
Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to integrate EC&I solutions within broader sustainability initiatives.
Tackle intricate technical challenges tied to instrumentation and control systems while ensuring their alignment with industry standards.
Project proposals estimating costs and establishing realistic timelines for successful project .
Stay at the font forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies applying them judiciously to amplify project efficiency.
Mentor and guide junior team members.
Requirements:
Minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering Controls Engineering or a related field.
5 years or more of experience in implementing advanced E&C systems specifically with a background in ATEX equipment and intrinsically safe circuits.
Problemsolving expertise with attention to detail
Proven experience in adapting to evolving projects and performing well under pressure.
