Job Description
Part Time Paraprofessional Tutor
Reports to: Director of Academic Support
FLSA Status: NonExempt
Hourly Rate: $14.00
This position is open until filled.
*This position requires thecandidate to obtain thePA Child Abuse PA State Police and FBI Fingerprinting clearancesprior to their start date.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide tutor assistance in subject areas in oneonone and small group settings.
- Maintain scheduled working hours.
- Develop and nurture rapport with students peers and faculty.
- Attend inservice activities to comply with certification requirements (e.g. training meetings etc. before and/or during semesters.
- Review learning materials to be able to recommend them to students.
- Complete and submit all required tutor tracking documentation and time entry.
- Adhere to all policies detailed in the Tutor Manual.
- Represent Tutorial Services as needed at classroom visits campus resource fairs etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of at least 60 credits from accredited institution of higher education
- Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher
- Grade of A or B in any course tutored
- Two professional recommendations (can be faculty recommendations)
