Job Description
The Risk Technology group builds and supports a global risk platform enabling the Risk Management group to oversee all areas of risk across the Firm. The risk platform provides capabilities for measuring quantifying analyzing reporting and controlling exposures across market and credit.
The position is for a Senior Developer who will be part of Risk Technology team. The developer will play a key role in major transformation projects involving the endtoend build of a modern highly scalable risk platform.
The role will involve the design implementation testing and maintenance of risk analytics data modelling reporting and management systems. This will be executed by implementing system components; coordinating requirements schedules and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting issues and resolving production problems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Building key risk technology components
Interfacing with senior stakeholders in Risk Management and across the firm to gather requirements and resolve issues
Contributing ideas and industry best practices to the wider Risk Technology group as part of design discussions and incident reviews
Essential Experience/ Skills:
Deep expertise in Java Python or similar programming language with experience building production applications
Experience in risk analytics market risk or credit risk
Strong knowledge of SQL and largescale data modeling processing and storage utilizing modern columnar and relationship databases like Oracle Snowflake and AWS RedShift
Experience implementing cloudbased applications utilizing technologies like Docker Kubernetes AWS Lambda
Knowledge of modern SDLC tooling including Git Bamboo and Jira
Bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or similar technical discipline
Personal Attributes:
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data related issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Selfstarter and entrepreneurial in approach
Ability to escalate and followup proactively
Good time management skills
