Salary:per annum

Location: Brighton & Hove Sussex

Job Type: Fulltime permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Wilbury is a boutique small animal practice in Hove built on a foundation of outstanding client and patient care kindness and empathy. We are looking for a dynamic Practice Manager to join our highly successful practice and help us continue in providing a supportive compassionate environment for both our clients and staff.

About the Role

As our Practice Manager you will be at the heart of our operations ensuring that our team has everything they need to continue delivering exceptional customer & patient care whilst maintaining our excellent team culture. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of the practice supporting our dedicated team and ensuring that we remain a beacon of empathy in the profession. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a peoplefocused environment enjoys problemsolving and wants to make a real difference in a practice that is never too busy to be kind.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial operational and administrative management of the practice

  • Support and develop our team fostering a culture of wellbeing collaboration and continuous learning

  • Ensure excellent client service maintaining our reputation for compassionate customer focused care

  • Manage HR processes including recruitment training and staff development

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and practice standards

  • Work closely with the clinical directors to develop and implement business strategies

  • Develop and maintain our sustainability credentials.

  • Serve as a key link between Linnaeuss central support teams and the practice team developing effective and robust relationships

  • Line management of the client care team

  • Maintain and enhance the Wilbury culture of kindness respect professionalism and exceptional customer experience.

About You:

  • Experience in practice management (veterinary or healthcare preferred)

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and support a team

  • Business and financial acumen with experience in budgeting and operational management

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Knowledge of veterinary practice software IT systems and HR processes is desirable

  • Passionate about workplace culture and encouraging a growth mindset amongst your team

  • Possess an environmental conscience
