Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees. Requires providing excellent customer service strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a professional environment. Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
The Student Assistant 2 will support educational programming and community engagement in Wayne County Ohio with office based in the city of Wooster. The intern will work directly with Extension professionals and staff who lead efforts to address community based issues and educational programming. The intern will support 4H Youth Development Family and Consumer Sciences and Agriculture & Natural Resources through assisting with educational materials programming and activities. Greeting customers managing the phone and supporting volunteers will be part of the experience. The student will participate in the design implementation and evaluation of programs for a well rounded experience of Extension programming.
This position is located in Wayne County Wooster OH.
Hours are flexible. This position can work up to 28 hours if taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks.
This position requires both First Advantage and BCI/FBI background checks.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
