JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
We are looking for a Controls Engineer to design develop and support electrical control systems and PLCs (Siemens and Allen Bradley) in a manufacturing environment. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting improving system reliability and delivering technical solutions that support production goals and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design develop and supervise electrical control systems equipment and machinery
- Installation and technical support of PLC hardware and software. Programmable knowledge in PLC (Siemens and Allen Bradley)
- Sets operational objectives and delivers results that ha a direct to significant impact on achievement of results with the job area or within the context of a wider operational area.
- Adapts or enhances quality or value in existing methods
- Problems may be only vaguely defined and require understanding and consideration of other job areas.
- Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline integrating theory and principles with organizational practices
- Responds to disruptions of production systems in a timely and appropriate manner
- Helps provide solutions in making technical logic meet the needs of the users
- Portions of the job may not be standardized or completely described in the job description and may require some independent action and thinking by the employee.
Qualifications
- University degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum 6 years of experience working with robots (Fanuc Kuka etc..
- Prior background in a manufacturing setting is required.
