The Associate Director of Development Data Analytics and Donor Services (the Associate Director) is responsible for managing data and donor information essential to effective stewardship and donor engagement for Tarleton States Office of Development within the Division of Advancement.
More specifically the Associate Director represents the data lead for the Texan Excellence Fund Tarleton Sates annual giving program. The Associate Director serves as a liaison between the Office of Annual Giving (Texan Excellence Fund) and the Office of Advancement Services charged with procuring receiving organizing and curating giftrelated information on a daily basis to drive the Texan Excellence Funds robust benefits platform.
Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Development the Associate Director maintains contemporary accurate donor records to ensure timely and appropriate stewardship and donor recognition that accurately and consistently reflects philanthropic giving and honors benefits promised through the Texan Excellence Fund.
The Associate Director plays a critical role in building and sustaining the Office of Advancements major gifts society responsible for maintaining uptodate donor records to execute accurate and essential stewardship of Tarleton States top most generous philanthropic donors.
This position is a data management and analyticscentric role. However the Associate Director also carries eventsrelated responsibilities and plays a central role in planning organizing and delivering developmentspecific events (events with a fundraising or donor stewardship purpose). In fulfilling this responsibility the Associate Director takes the lead from the Director of Annual Giving who represents the Office of Advancements chief events officer.
Position is located on the main campus in Stephenville Texas with inoffice hours of Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm or as work requirements indicate. The scope of the job frequently requires travel and attendance at evening and/or weekend activities meetings events seminars and workshops.
Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the University in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances.
The successful candidate will show a record of effective data management in various software systems with candidates possessing experience using Raisers Edge / Blackbaud receiving priority.
An ability to query the development database (Blackbaud / Raisers Edge) and generate essential reports is a preferred skill. Training will be provided within the first sixmonths to ensure that this function can be fulfilled by the Associate Director within the Associate Directors first year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receives organizes and utilizes donorrelated data in concert with the Office of Advancement Services and the Director of Annual Giving to deliver timely accurate and appropriate stewardship to Tarleton States philanthropic donors.
Teams with the Assistant Director of Annual Giving to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of Texan Excellence Fund (TEF) benefits for all TEF donors.
Ensures full integration of donor information into the Office of Advancements database (Raisers Edge) so that records in Raisers Edge are fully accurate contemporary and complete with both giving information and stewardship status at all times within a fiscal year. In collaboration with the Director of Annual Giving represent the annual funds (Texan Excellence Fund) principal data analytics officer elevating effective data management as a source of strength internally and confidence externally (donors feel appreciated and connected).
Liaisons with the Office of Advancement Services to pull fundraising reports and ensure effective tracking towards development goals and the overall performance of the annual fund (Texan Excellence Fund).
Utilizes donorrelated data to discover annual donors possessing major gifts capacity / expand the pipeline of major gifts donors for Tarleton State.
Oversees management of the Development Offices master events calendar to ensure impact efficiency and comprehensive coordination.
Assists the Director of Annual Giving to plan organize and fulfill select development events to include all Texan Excellence Fund events and events associated with the Office of Advancements major gifts society.
Supports the Director of Annual Giving on additional events as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Development.
Contributes to a culture of confidence within Institutional Advancement marked by trust teamwork integrity and excellence.
Develops reports analyses and surveys for Associate Vice President for Development.
Completes special projects as requested by the AVP for Development.
Assists the AVP for Development with management of the Donor Engagement and Stewardship budgets for programs special events and publications including predicting funds needed for production materials and supplies.
Travels as necessary to implement off campus events and programs.
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

Minimum Requirements
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent transferable professional experience.
Eight years experience in data analytics or a related field.
Record of managing and organizing information within a central database essential to fundraising and/or grants related processes and activities.
Record of preparing and delivering organized detailed reports with information drawn from a central database.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and communication skills both verbal and written.
Exceptional professional interpersonal and teambuilding skills including collaboration with others to establish and maintain good working relationships.
Ability to be highly collaborative and a team player.
Problemsolving skills creativity positivity and the ability to manage several assignments simultaneously are required

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Blackbauds information management products with specific emphasis on Raisers Edge.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of fundraising.
Experience managing / curating data related to fundraising / grantsbased solicitation and stewardship.
Experience in event planning gift acknowledgement the major gift development process and volunteer management within a higher education fundraising organization.
Ability to pull reports from the Office of Advancements database and acquire information essential to tracking and progress towards established fundraising goals.
Proficient with Blackbaud Raisers Edge or a similar CRM / fundraising database system.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
This position encompasses a variety of tasks related to data / information management data analytics reporting evaluating information sources gathering and synthesizing information and organizing tasks. Further the Associate Director must be able to work in an at times highstress demanding environment thus requiring exceptional ability to stay focused on the task at hand

Salary Range
The target base annual salary range is $53745 to $76321.00 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
