The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Senior Liaison Engineering Manager to lead integrated groups of supervisors engineers and technical staff for Liaison Engineering in support of Boeing operations in North Charleston SC.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and firstlevel managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies goals objectives.
- Acquires resources for department activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
- Manages develops and motivates employees and firstlevel managers.
- Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide higher Material Review Board (MRB) functions.
- Interface with Operations Quality Engineering airline representatives regulatory agencies and suppliers/partners to resolve issues impacting airplane build test and delivery.
- Staff and direct a technical team in establishing and executing group goals.
- Manage budgets.
- Monitor group performance against program and functional commitments and developing technical employees within the group.
- Work with peer Senior Managers in the development of first line managers and the Liaison Engineering Skill as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelors degree or higher in: Engineering Physics Computer Science or similar.
- 3 or more years ofexperience in a management position.
- 3 or more years of experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Current or previous BCA MRB certification preferred.
- Experience withbuilding organizational talent pipeline in engineering.
- Experience in risk management.
- Engineering processes knowledge.
- Experience with production systems
