Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. Our Construction Control Desk department is looking for a Senior Manager Delivery Integration to join the team! You will provide support and guidance on Metrolinx standards regulatory requirements rules and best practices of Metrolinx rail and construction operations via KPI analysis root cause analysis Lessons learned workshops Risk Assessment and ensure alignment to the safety management systems operating policies processes practices and training development particularly when changes are contemplated and/or implemented.

What will I be doing
  • Oversee evaluate and lead the department through the creation and implementation of the Access Utilization Tracker to achieve a high degree of safety diligent compliance for safety with health and safety statutes and construction related regulations and best practices for construction safety.
  • Develop detailed objectives and lessons learned for each disruptive access within the Rail Corridor define a measurable criterion and develop process (current and future).
  • Provide ongoing oversight and review of completed final Corrective Action reports to validate documentation and evidence has been captured. Complete analysis of information and findings to identify causes and contributing factors.
  • Optimize rail corridor access and track protection planning and monitor construction activities to identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation plans.
  • Oversee and track KPI trend pattern analysis for the business unit and prepare reports including findings for improvement and recommendations to meet targets.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
  • Completion of a degree in a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing standards regulations and/or operations standards and training programs ideally with exposure to the railway and construction sector.
  • Advanced/specialist technical certification is an asset. PMP certifications and Risk Management would be considered an asset.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills to monitor contractor performance and contract compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and contact terms and conditions and to proactively develop contingency plans to respond to issues.
  • Knowledge the Occupational Health and Safety Act and railway infrastructure construction and construction practices
  • Project management principles and practices including budget and schedule controls to lead and direct cross functional teams and consultants engaged in simultaneous projects and monitor project activities for adherence to timelines budgets and project performance objectives.
  • Risk assessment principles and practices to manage and monitor the assessment of construction works and schedules for contractor compliance with rail corridor access terms and conditions.
  • Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to manage all facets of rail corridor access related services to ensure construction works are planned and coordinated for safety track protection is provided and that the works are safely and effectively executed.
  • Leadership and management skills to manage and motivate staff to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Diplomacy negotiation and persuasion skills to administer review and negotiate vendor contracts and manage customer service and facilities management issues.
  • Vendor and contract management negotiation and influencing skills to advise on procurement strategies and negotiate contractual obligations and amendments with vendors.
  • Rail access planning would be considered an asset.
