Role Summary
- Inspects maintains and repairs specialized equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards.
- Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery equipment and facilities to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation
- Perform routine and nonroutine facility inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot escalate and document issues according to policies and procedures
- Conduct initial survey of plumbing carpentry HVAC electrical systems and make repairs if possible
Examples of Work Performed
- Inspect and perform routine preventative maintenance on machines equipment and parts
- Inspect assigned buildings for maintenance repairs
- Use work order management system to receive assigned work orders and document work completed
- Respond to emergency calls
- Replace or repair plumbing fixtures or pipes
- Repair secondary electrical circuits electrical appliances motors switches outlets
- Inspect and repair or replace light fixtures ceiling tiles windows doors flooring
- Perform routine carpentry work
- Check and reset HVAC equipment and boilers
- Participate in after hours oncall schedule
Essential Functions
These essential functions include but are not limited to the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery equipment and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation.
2. Performs routine and nonroutine facility inspections.
3. Troubleshoots escalates and documents issues according to established policies and procedures.
4. Researches and orders repair parts through the Facilities Management storeroom process.
5. Repairs if possible and makes referrals to trade shops as necessary.
Minimum Education/Experience
Education: High School or Equivalent
Experience:2 Two Years Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Household appliance repair and troubleshooting experience
- ADA door button and door operator installation and troubleshooting experience

Minimum Physical Requirements
