Join a WorldClass Corporate Communications Team
Part of Global Marketing & Communications the Corporate Communications team contributes to shaping AIGs corporate reputation and global brand in the marketplace and supporting AIGs businesses to helpstrategically position them for continued growth and profitability. The team develops strategic communications programs and supports leadership and company communications that inform engage and inspire our colleagues and stakeholders around the world.
The Role
The Digital Content Specialist will be an integral part of the Editorial & Digital Channels team within Corporate Communications providing a wide range of support including writing editing and publishing content across the companys various digital channels. The role will work closely with the Global Managing Editor in drafting stories for both internal and external audiences that showcase how AIG sets the standard as a leading global insurer. The role will also align closely with the team on digital and creative aspects and will contribute to creating content for the intranet social media AIG and other channels.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a worldclass communications team and exercise a variety of different skills from story conceptualization and storytelling to digital content creation and publication.
Key Responsibilities
Provide writing and editorial support for the global Corporate Communications team to highlight AIGs business wins and key company initiatives.
Create preview and publish content across a variety of channels including the intranet email digital signage social media and AIG.
Collaborate closely with the broader team on additional key deliverables.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Align to a robust content review and approval process.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in English Journalism Communications or related field preferred
3 years of professional experience in a corporate communications writing role ideally in insurance financial services or other highly regulated industry
Comfortable working with Content Management Systems and other digital publishing tools; experience with social media a plus
Enthusiastic high energy and a can do approach
A creative selfstarter with an ability to problem solve and work independently when needed but also can work collaboratively with others
Impeccable attention to detail ensuring that all content is high quality
Excellent multitasking project management analytical and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with colleagues at all levels and with a geographically distributed workforce
Ability to work in a changing fastpaced environment with high expectations and accountability
