Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager the Transitions Coordinator coordinates runs and evaluates the STEPS (Successful Transitions from Elementary to Post Secondary) OLTS (OnLine to Success) and other transition initiatives by the Regional Assessment and Resource Centre (RARC). The Transitions Coordinator assists in evaluating student documentation and determining eligibility for the programs. They conduct information/and training sessions for students staff and other individuals regarding RARCs transition programs and other best practices in transitions for students with special education needs. The Transitions Coordinator contributes to the content creation and development of the Transition Resource Guide website EYESONPSE transition program and other transition initiatives. They assist in sharing in information promoting projects and liaising with other partners such as MCU MEDU elementary high schools postsecondary institutions and other stakeholders. They assist in the coordination of STEPS and OLTSbased research projects at the RARC. The Transitions Coordinator participates in the recruitment and hiring process of transition team member summer students and practicum students and supervises practicum students and occasional employees.

This position oversees projects related to the development of experiential learning programs and professional development. This position evaluates and researches comparators and best practices in student development and experiential learning. This position also directs allocates and supervises the work of other staff.
The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work variable hours on a regular basis including evenings and weekends. In addition travel is an inherent part of the position. This position is subject to the Averaging and Travel Time Credit provisions of the USW Local 2010 Collective Agreement.

What you will do

Chairs and/or participates on committees.
Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education
FourYear Bachelor Degree or equivalent. In addition requires trade certification qualification or ongoing learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

Required Experience
More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
