Employment Term: Part Time
Location: Townsville
Remuneration: $29.00 11.5 Super Not for Profit Salary Packaging

We are seeking individuals who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander who are interested in pursuing a career as a Hospitality Officer.

Your part in our Blue Care team

We have an opportunity available for an energetic passionate and highly capable Hospitality Officer to join the team at Stagpole Street Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre (SSDARU)

SSDARU provides residential alcohol and other drug rehabilitation services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Services are delivered by Pinangba an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanderled arm of UnitingCare. The service is based on a modified family therapy model.

Your part in our team

As anHospitality Officera key support role to the delivery of our services youll play a pivotal role in ensuring business operations are runefficiently and our clients and residents receive an exceptional experience.

You will:

  • Preparing cooking and delivering food in adherence with Australian food safety standards and dietary Requirements of our residents
  • Supporting senior hospitality staff members with daily operations which may include housekeeping and laundry services
  • Being required to uphold impeccable hygiene standards.

What makes a difference for us

  • Prior hospitality experience in kitchen or cleaning
  • Ability to work alone in a kitchen environment
  • Enthusiasm and strong selfmotivation
  • Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
