As a Camp Counselor you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and positive environment supervising campers throughout the day and managing daily checkin and checkout procedures. Counselors will help plan and lead a variety of ageappropriate activities including arts and crafts fitness games basic sports skills and teambuilding activities designed to foster cooperation creativity confidence and healthy habits.
What Youll Be Doing:
Leading and participating in daily activities like art projects fitness fun sports skills and cooperative games. Yes you get to play too!
Making sure each camper is safely checked in and out each day and has a blast in between.
Creating and adapting activities to keep the fun flowing and every child engaged.
Supporting campers with encouragement creativity and enthusiasm.
Collaborating with fellow counselors and staff to ensure a safe inclusive and upbeat environment.
Helping track camper attendance behavior and progress because every win counts!
What Were Looking For:
CPR/AED certified (or willing to get certified before the program starts).
1 year of experience working with children or youth (camp tutoring babysitting etc. preferred
A team player with strong organizational skills creativity and the ability to roll with the punches.
Someone with great communication skills and a positive approachable attitude.
Bonus points if you love being outdoors getting messy with crafts or bringing out your inner coach!

Qualifications:
Current HS AED Certification required.
Minimum one 1 year experience working with children and youth preferred.
Excellent organizational skills detailoriented a selfstarter possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Assists in preparing an implementing activities to include but may not be limited to; art projects fitness fun sports skills and a variety of cooperative games.
Responsible for the daily checking in / out of each child in addition to overseeing their participation in the program.
Assists with implementation and monitoring of activities and programs for participants.
Develops new games and activities to be considered into daily lesson plans.
Monitors activity sessions as assigned follows lesson plans and makes adjustments as applicable to assigned area.
Recognizes when adjustments are required and creatively adapts activities to maintain participants enthusiasm.
Interacts with children during activities. Participates in games as required and as opportunity arises.
Works closely with leadership and staff to ensure the safety of all children participating.
Treats participants with honesty and respect while maintaining established standards for control. Shows no partiality or favoritism toward any one or group of participants.
Interacts professionally with participants by utilizing childrens names and instills confidence regarding their ability to participate.
Keeps accurate count of program participants activity success/failure discipline challenges special participant needs etc.
Creates an environment to grow holistically (socially emotionally physically and environmentally).

Shift:
Variable (United States of America)Summer Camp Schedule: Monday Friday 68 hour shifts ranging from 7:30 a.m.6:00 p.m.
School Year Schedule: Hours vary due to school schedule and need for coverage.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual As Needed or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods employee absences and vacations making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed.
