About the Job Your Role
Coordinate and supervise the comprehensive behavioral health care delivery system at multiple custody correctional institutions. This position is directly responsible for the overall supervision of BHS clinical and support staff within the institution. This supervision includes but is not limited to recruitment hiring training scheduling assigning and evaluating employee performance. This position is responsible for implementing program standards and monitoring practices to ensure behavioral health care is delivered in accordance with Oregon Statute and Administrative Rules ODOC Policies Behavioral Health Services Clinical Practices Federal Health Care Standards and standards set forth by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care in such a fashion that the care delivered meets community standards. This position supervises the behavioral health care system that provides all mental health and psychiatric services to identified AICs housed in General Population Disciplinary Segregation Mental Health Infirmary Behavioral Health Unit Day Treatment Unit and Hospice Care. This position problem solves with various stakeholders to overcome barriers in establishing behavioral health care delivery related objectives. This position participates with institution management and executive management staff to develop and implement both short and longterm goals and strategies related to mental health care in both a formal and informal manner. This position develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate mental health care. This position assists BHS Administration in developing short and longterm goals and reviewing and updating policies and clinical practices. This position oversees the budget expenditures within their institution or area.
This position is management services and may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) as defined by statute.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a clinical license or certificate appropriate to the discipline of treatment AND two years of supervision management or progressively related experience.
OR
A masters degree in a related field AND two years of lead work or supervising mental health services that include mental health assessment and diagnosis.
Requested Skills
A graduate degree in social work psychology or a behavioral sciences field.
Six 6 years of experience in professionallevel work providing mental health services to individuals with chronic mental illness including diagnosis and treatment.
Two years of direct management and supervision of a program section or unit which included: a) clinical staff supervision b) development of program rules and policies and c) development of long and shortrange goals and plans and d) budget preparation.
Ability to be certified by the ODOC as a Clinical Supervisor of a QMHA/QMHP.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with a variety of individuals ranging from health care professionals to lay persons and a basic knowledge of public speaking.
Skill in establishing operating relationships and organizing work and selecting and developing staff.
An indepth understanding of and commitment to traumaresponsive practices
The ability to skillfully supervise the delivery of genderinclusive and traumaresponsive treatment services.

Working Conditions
This position is in Wilsonville at the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. You will work in close contact with adults in custody in the institution setting and may be exposed to hostile situations or incidents. You may be exposed to chemicals radiation communicable disease or other hazards inherent in a health care facility and correctional setting. You will perform work inside a 24/7 facility shifts may vary to include early shifts late shifts and weekends. You will have contact with adults in custody during treatment/consultation at times out of visual range of security staff. You will be exposed to adults in custody that may become physically and/or verbally abusive which requires vigilance and awareness.

The salary range listed above is for nonPERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95.

About the Process What to Expect

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprintbased background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access there may be some felony convictions that could disqualify you for this position.
