InStore Sales Rep (Full Time) Charlottetown PEI

Primary Purpose

Receive and process client walkin or phone orders inquiries and/or issues covering items or products ordered along with showroom sales and inquiries from walkin clients. Accountable for meeting sales targets associated with Linde Canada packaged gas business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the efficient processing of customer orders answer and respond to walkin and telephone sales orders and product inquiries
  • Sell gases and welding products to walkin and telephone customers
  • Emphasis on Up selling gases and other welding products to walkin customers or over the phone
  • Process all cash charge and credit card orders and amending orders for invoicing
  • Maintain local inventory control and manage branch stock including surplus inventory for hard goods and cylinders
  • End of day week and month processes (SOX reports the Big 5 Report open orders work bench)
  • Process bank daily deposits and cash reconciliation
  • Accountable for shipping/receiving of customer orders and branch transfers
  • Assist customers with welding applications and products to ensure Linde products meet customer requirements
  • Provide assistance to the Territory Manager(s) in serving accounts

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience in an industrial supplies or customer service environment.

Experience:

  • A work history focusing on customer satisfaction is a prerequisite
  • Must have the ability to up sell
  • Applicants preferred to have knowledge of the welding industry process etc.
  • Proficient in a computer environment
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in a safety conscious team environment

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Knowledge and/or experience with welding products and processes a desired asset
  • Mathematical ability required to calculate prices and gross margins
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be selfmotivated and capable of working with minimum supervision

Physical and Sensory Demands:

  • 60 standing
  • 40 sitting
  • Lift up to 60lbs.
