Job Description
Just is seeking a motivated and creative intern who desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. Seeking a motivated candidate to join a fastpaced collaborative and multidisciplinary team to develop purification processes for lowcost biotherapeutic manufacturing. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of chemistry biochemistry and cell biology as well as an understanding of engineering principles such as fluid dynamics and mass balance. Previous lab experience a plus. The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communications skills works well independently and in teams and constantly looks for ways to improve processes.
Responsibilities:
Work with a mentor to develop new automated TECAN scripts for use in biotherapeutic purification
Contribute as a team member to shared responsibilities including general laboratory upkeep
End of internship presentation to the scientific staff
Preferred Qualifications:
Working towards a BS in Engineering Chemistry Biochemistry or related field
Excellent experimental design and analysis skills
Pluses:
Experience with and understanding of chromatography principles
Understanding of DoE principles
Experience with data analysis and visualization software (e.g. JMP Matlab R Tableau)
Note: This is a paid 12 week fixedterm internship located onsite at our Redmond facility. This position is open to all students legally authorized to work in the United States based on skills education and experience relevant to the role. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship benefits or relocation for internships. The pay for this position is $25.00 per hour.
