Summary:
Pueblo Diversified Industries (PDI) is seeking a motivated and creative Content Creator & Social Media Intern to support our community engagement and marketing efforts. This part-time internship offers a meaningful opportunity to build skills in content development nonprofit storytelling and social media management while helping share the mission and impact of PDI. This position also includes hands-on experience in event support and community outreach.
Location: Pueblo Diversified Industries 2828 Granada Blvd. Pueblo CO 81005/Hybrid
Time Commitment: Flexible hours; estimated 20 hours a week
Supervision: Independently and collaboratively.
Content Creation & Digital Media: Develop mission-driven content for social media websites newsletters and printed materials. Capture and edit photos and videos at events and on-site activities. Design promotional graphics and branded materials using Canva or similar tools
Social Media Management: Assist in managing and scheduling content across platforms (Facebook Instagram LinkedIn). Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages as needed. Help track analytics and recommend strategies for increased engagement.
Event & Outreach Support: Assist with set-up on-site support and tear-down at PDI-hosted events. Attend community resource fairs and outreach events to promote PDIs programs and services. Help document and share event highlights for digital platforms.
General Communications Support: Maintain brand consistency across all content. Collaborate with team members on campaigns awareness initiatives and storytelling opportunities. Research trends and content ideas that align with PDIs mission.
Qualifications: Current student or recent graduate in communications marketing graphic design journalism or a related field. Strong writing and communication skills. Experience with or interest in social media platforms and basic content design tools (e.g. Canva). Reliable self-motivated and willing to work both independently and collaboratively. Availability for occasional weekend or evening events. Ability to lift light to moderate items (up to 25 lbs.) Attention to detail and a willingness to get the job done
