Job Description:

New Student Programs Student Office Assistant is our front line in greeting and serving new students and their families whether in person by phone or by email. The Student Staff also supports the department by handling general office duties and various special projects.

  • Answer the phone and assist parents and students with all things New Student Programs and Baylor.
  • Answer emails and assist parents and students with all things New Student Programs and Baylor.
  • Daily tasks to be completed each shift (there is a list).
  • Assist in any NSP projects as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Professional speech and written communication when interacting with students and guests.
  • Basic knowledge of NSP ProgramsOrientation Line Camp and Welcome Week.
  • Relatability with incoming students and their families.
  • Kindness care and compassion in interacting with and serving students and families.
  • Provide general office assistance and support
  • Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information
  • Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
  • Assist with various projects activities or tasks as needed
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
