Job Responsibilities
Use best engineering and manufacturing practices to improve manufacturing processes; apply Lean or Six Sigma methods to increase yield efficiency and OEE with effective root cause problem solving. Duties: implement new production lines and process improvements; assess production equipment hardware and tooling; recommend repairs or replacement; install new equipment and train others to use it correctly and safely; analyze data to find trends and suggest process changes to solve problems; write work instructions and train employees on new or updated processes; participate in EHS actions to improve safety on the shop floor; lead and work with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects that meet EHS production quality and cost savings goals on time; ensure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurate for future reference and customer / end user requirements; prepare and present product and process reports by collecting analyzing summarizing information and trends; lead develop and mentor other manufacturing engineers to create a high performing engineering team; help create training program for new engineers. 10 openings.
Background & Skills
- Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering Manufacturing/Systems Engineering Materials Science Engineering or Engineering Science (Robotics).
- In lieu of masters degree bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering Manufacturing/Systems Engineering Materials Science Engineering or Engineering Science (Robotics) plus 2 years experience with lean manufacturing and value stream mapping and 2 years experience with SAP or other manufacturing systems.
