Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management quantity and cost estimates and procurement for construction projects. The successful candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of construction processes and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review cost estimates budgets and bills of quantities for construction projects
Conduct site visits and collaborate with construction teams to assess quantities of materials needed
Analyze construction plans and specifications to identify potential costsaving opportunities
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the company
Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders
Prepare financial reports and forecasts to assist with project planning and decisionmaking
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies relating to cost management
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Management or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and costs
Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional certification (e.g. RICS) is a plus
