Job Goals
- Participates as a member of the AEAs leadership team and promotes AEAs vision and core values in daily work.
- Serves as the administrative liaison between the AEA and local school districts and participates in the local school administrative team meetings.
- Supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school improvement plans.
- Supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school technology supports.
- Supports AEA staff and local school districts in implementing special education procedures to ensure appropriateness of services for students requiring special education.
- Aligns and allocates resources to ensure the delivery of quality agency services.
- Establishes implements and evaluates agency activities in response to best practices and changing client needs.
- Manages supervises and evaluates effectiveness of AEA staff assigned to local school districts within designated region.

Qualifications
- Iowa administrator license/endorsement or working on completion of graduate coursework required for administrator license.
- Iowa Evaluator Approval.
- Masters degree in the field of education or related area.
- Five years of professional experience in a school district or an intermediate service agency.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in coordinating school improvement and special education initiatives.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
