Location:Based out of the Marshalltown office(click for map)

Job Goals

  1. Participates as a member of the AEAs leadership team and promotes AEAs vision and core values in daily work.
  2. Serves as the administrative liaison between the AEA and local school districts and participates in the local school administrative team meetings.
  3. Supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school improvement plans.
  4. Supports local school districts in the development and implementation of school technology supports.
  5. Supports AEA staff and local school districts in implementing special education procedures to ensure appropriateness of services for students requiring special education.
  6. Aligns and allocates resources to ensure the delivery of quality agency services.
  7. Establishes implements and evaluates agency activities in response to best practices and changing client needs.
  8. Manages supervises and evaluates effectiveness of AEA staff assigned to local school districts within designated region.

Full job description

Qualifications

  1. Iowa administrator license/endorsement or working on completion of graduate coursework required for administrator license.
  2. Iowa Evaluator Approval.
  3. Masters degree in the field of education or related area.
  4. Five years of professional experience in a school district or an intermediate service agency.
  5. Demonstrated effectiveness in coordinating school improvement and special education initiatives.
  6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
