KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Sales Culture and Promotions:

  • Drive Sales to consistently achieve store sales goals by personally selling the furniture and accessories and services offered by LaZBoy
  • Team with Store Manager Designer and selling team to promote InHome Design Sales program and drive store sales
  • Maximize store promotions marketing initiatives and grass roots programs
  • Hires trains and retains the highest quality team members who exhibit energy and enthusiasm
  • Coaches to the Company selling model with the passion to drive real action
  • Uses the Company metrics to coach the proper behaviors needed to be a world class selling organization
  • Create an environment where the store team is empowered to deliver excellent customer service aligned with company processes and standards and where they are encouraged to achieve company goals

People Development:

  • Train coach and develop selling team on product knowledge and selling skills to achieve store sales goals
  • Create a positive and exciting working environment for all store associates
  • Hiring and developing talent and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent
  • Utilizes Company resources to keep associates up to date on product knowledge selling skills and operational efficiencies
  • Leads with the highest ethical standards and demands the same from their teams
  • Ensures associates are provided the necessary tools to perform job responsibilities
  • Coach and counsel team based on results including completing performance reviews

Store Standards / Operations:
Effective Manager on Duty (MOD)

  • Champion and role model the LaZBoy selling process (Comfort Process) by overseeing the interaction with each and every client within the furniture gallery
  • Know what is happening on the floor at all times. Be willing and able to jump into every sale and close it
  • Show a sense urgency enthusiasm and excitement with the staff and customers

Operational Excellence

  • Adhere to operational procedures and guidelines outlined by the Company and other duties assigned by the Store Manager
  • Accurately complete order information collect deposits and fees keep orderly customer records and research customer payments and deliveries
  • Responsible for opening and closing of the store
  • Maintain store cleanliness appearance and standards. This includes but is not limited to maintenance of showroom displays tagging and facilities

Customer Experience Excellence:

  • Sets the highest standard for customer care
  • Ensure that each LaZBoy customer has an informative and positive experience by using good customer service skills knowledge of products and services and product demonstrations
  • Make sound business decisions to deliver customer satisfaction and promote team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors degree in Business or related field is preferred.
  • Three 3 to five 5 years sales experience with a proven track record of success is preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience is a preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication customer service and organizational skills
  • Initiative to meet assigned goals missions and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport
  • Ability to effectively manage time and conflicting priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs to include evenings weekends and holidays

Sales Manager pay 2 plans you get to choose!

Sales Manager 1 $20 an hour training pay (no commission) first 34 weeks after training $10400 per year paid bi weekly (most popular plan)

  • 4 on individual written sales other than LaZBoy Design sales written by the Sales Manager and 6 on individual written LaZBoy Design sales written by the Sales Manager

Sales Manager 2 $20 an hour training pay (no commission) first 34 weeks after training $26000 per year paid bi weekly

  • 2 on individual written sales other than LaZBoy Design sales written by the Sales Manager and 3 on individual written LaZBoy Design sales written by the Sales Manager

  • Consistently execute the LaZBoy selling process and strive to provide a favorable experience to all customers.

  • Resolve customer inquiries and escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Promote inhome design program.
  • Maximize store promotions marketing initiatives and grassroots programs.
  • Collaborate with support teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure proper of all existing and new systems and administrative procedures.

SCOPE & IMPACT:

This position holds significant influence over the stores financial health operational efficiency and the overall customer experience and reputation in the community. This position reports to the Store Manager of the assigned location with indirect influence of sales team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite effective communication skills and customer service.
  • Other: Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs to include evenings weekends and holidays

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in using various technology tools and software.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

What You Can Expect:

  • Total Compensation Range: $22880 $75000
  • PostTraining Base Pay:$11 $18
  • Commission & Bonus:Earn more with UNCAPPED commission on written sales 3 on LaZBoy Design Sales and 2 on other sales other than LaZBoy Design Sales. Quarterly bonus opportunity of $0 $1500 based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goals.

This position is responsible for exceeding sales and operational benchmarks delivering an exceptional customer experience through the LaZBoy selling process and championing the inhome design program. With a comprehensive understanding of product lines the role focuses on maximizing store promotions and marketing efforts as well as collaborating with support teams to ensure operational excellence.

Training Pay: $15 $20 per hour for 34 weeks (no commission or bonus)

Average Earning Potential After Training: $36000 $60000 (inclusive of base commission and bonus)

The Total Compensation Range is at least the local applicable minimum wage and up to the highearning average target for this role. Individual pay is based on various factors including geographic location personal performance and relevant qualifications experience skills and education. By providing our salary ranges and total compensation details we aim to foster understanding and confidence in our pay practices.
