What we look for
Apex Group is looking for a Depositary Officer in Stockholm to join our Nordic Depositary team delivering depositary services to Real Estate and Private Equity funds. The role requires cash flow monitoring investment checks NAV oversight and client relationship management. Candidates should have 23 years in a relevant role or study job and strong interest in the industry. A relevant masters degree is preferred.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of depositary services to a growing portfolio of Real Estate and Private Equity fund clients
- Ensure the daily Cash flow monitoring and reconciliation process is completed on a daily basis to include:
- Ensure that the Investment and Borrowing monitoring checks for assigned funds have been completed
- Ensure that any breaches and NAV errors identified are immediately reported to Depositary Management and logged
- Ensure that certain NAV Oversight reviews are completed as assigned.
- Compile and update KPI and revenue reporting
- Ensure adherence to all policies & procedures and local laws and regulations
- Responsible for the Client relationship management for trustee / depositary clients;
- Responsible for the presentation of Depositary reports to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis for trustee / depositary clients
- Assist in Sales/Business Development meetings for prospective trustee / depositary clients.
- Over time build a team of approximately 34 Depositary staff with scope to grow further
Skills Required and Qualifications
- Preferably 23 years work experience in a depositary fund accounting Investment Manager or similar role. Exposure to Investment Compliance Monitoring would be a big advantage;
- Strong industry knowledge and financial services experience with an understanding of the depositarys role and responsibilities;
- Handson management of driving results and projects;
- Good interpersonal skills in order to develop strong working relationships with colleagues;
- Excellent organizational time management and communication skills;
- A strong attention to detail;
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
