What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for HR services and support for a function or region. Mohawks HR Generalist will serve as a strategic business partner providing support to functional leadership and employees at all levels to ensure they are equipped for success.
What youll do:
- Assist employees and management in solving both daytoday and largerscale workrelated issues by gathering information assessing potential risk recommending appropriate solutions and/or advising management accordingly
- Provide employee relations support such as conflict resolution assisting and advising management on disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling
- Provide employee engagement support by facilitating clear communication change management training and development resources and coordinating activities and events
- Assist management throughout the recruiting and hiring processes ensuring all required documents files and reports are prepared and processed in a timely manner
- Review and process approved personnel actions including payroll compensation changes leaves of absence etc.
- Collect review and prepare information for statistical and regulatory reporting surveys employee communications process improvement payroll processing etc.
What you have:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field and four years of job specific experience.
- Or eight years of HR experience
- HR Certification (a plus)
- Broad knowledge of the laws regulations policies procedures and practical application governing the functions of Human Resources
- Strong math and analytical skills and the ability to interpret and adapt known methods system procedures or operating concepts to new situations

- Identifying areas of opportunity and building a strategy to develop and improve the organization
- Building rapport and trust with all levels of leadership
- Exercising independent judgment and demonstrating solid time management andorganizationalskills including the ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules
