Job Role: Bike Mechanic & Sales Advisor (Parttime)

Salary:19048 per year (FTE 23810

Hours:30 hours

Contract type:FixedTermContract till 31st October 2025

Location:Bath


The Role: To service maintain repair build and sell bikes. Providing excellent customer service and working with colleagues and volunteers to develop the business and support the work of Julian House.


Responsibilities include:

  • Refurbish and renovate secondhand and donated bikes for resale to the public.
  • At all times ensure the security and safe running of the workshop including opening and closing the workshop operating of till and cashing up.
  • To maintain effective and safe boundaries for clients within the workshop and to deny access to those who are not fit to volunteer Staff & Volunteers.
  • Work with clients and volunteers to induct and train them in skills relevant to working within the Bike Workshop


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • General and specific cycle repairs.
  • At least 2 years experience in servicing work.
  • Dealing with customers or members of the public
  • Understanding of H&S and Risks Assessments in a workshop environment
