About the Opportunity
Step into a leadership role with this unique newly created opportunity to coordinate administer and monitor Development Contributions Plans (DCPs) and Infrastructure Contributions Plans (ICPs) for Cardinia Shire. This position is perfect for someone looking to make a significant impact on community development and infrastructure. You will help ensure important infrastructure is provided to new communities and play a key role in ensuring value and financial stewardship for the community.
You will make an impact by
- Ensuring that DCPs and ICPs are coordinated administered implemented and monitored in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Ensuring timely and costeffective provision of community facilities and road infrastructure through appropriate collection and expenditure of development contributions.
- Leading Councils strategic and advocacy approaches to development and infrastructure contributions.
- Providing specialist advice and reports to Council staff including senior leaders and Councillors on development contribution programs.
- Partnering with developers to ensure the effective and timely provision of infrastructure items outlined in Councils approved DCPs and ICPs.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualifications in related field would be an advantage.
- Detailed understanding of the formation and implementation of development contributions and infrastructure contribution plans
- Proven experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary planning projects
- Substantial knowledge of planning and subdivision legislation particularly as it applies to development contributions.
- Strong collaboration skills to provide specialist advice on delivery of PSP infrastructure in a financially sustainable manner.
- Ability to effectively manage coach and support employees
- Data analysis and report writing with a strong attention to detail.
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage team budgets effectively.
