Job Description

Fahrenheit Advisors has been retained to assist our client Inomedic Health Applications in its search for a Controller at its Hampton Virginia offices.

Position Overview:

Inomedic is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee track and evaluate the companys daily accounting activities. The successful candidate will manage financial systems to collect analyze verify and report information. You will also work with the companys CFO to establish and support the companys overall financial health. To succeed in this role you must have a solid background in accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including billing accounts receivable accounts payable payroll general ledger and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage and comply with local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decisionmaking by senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar financial management role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • 35 years of experience with Deltek Costpoint Accounting System (required).
  • Experience creating financial statements and performing the monthend/yearend close process in Costpoint.
  • Degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • High emotional intelligence with strong nurturing aptitude.
  • Creative problemsolving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Experience with Government Contract Accounting; familiarity with FAR and DCAA reporting requirements.
