Job Description
Our client is now seeking a detailoriented customerservice focused Customs Operator specialising in Perishable AirImports to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the customs clearance process for perishable goods entering the country via Air and also Road from the EU.
We need a Perishable Imports operator to cover the night shift 4on 4off. This is a very rewarding working pattern giving you a great balance between work and family time and is a longestablished practice within our industry.
It is essential that you have the cando attitude be available to helpout especially during peakperiods and also to cover holidays for your opposite number when possible. We want adaptable people who can assist in all areas of the business and ETSF Warehouse inputs along with our Transport Ops and sales team... the right person will be able to grow with us and become invested with the whole team.
Duties:
Ensure compliance with all Border Force Port Health and APHA regulations and requirements for perishable imports especially postBrexit.
Liaise closely with Transport Operations to monitor shipments in transit ensuring timely management of the whole process. Effectively conduct and control ETSF entries ensuring Border Force compliance and facilitating all Import controls.
Perform entire APHA Applications and Custom Clearance process from start to finish. Communicate with the Authorities Airlines Transport Ops and Customers to keep all stakeholders updated throughout the process.
Experience:
Proficiency in all Port/Plant Health applications Customs entries ETSF protocol and the new Border Procedures for EU Imports is an advantage.
Proficiency using all office software in addition to Imports and Customsspecific software and platforms such as Government Gateway Descartes ASM/Sequoia IPAFFS CNS CCS CDS Destin8 etc.
Excellent attention to detail especially during processing... clearly defined practices using worksheets and accuracy in recordkeeping.
Pay: 30000..00 per year
