Compensation range:
$19.64 $25.14Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience
Shift: DaysDays off: Variable
Hours per pay period: 12
Shift length: 6 Hours
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Gift Shop Clerk is responsible for assisting employees families visitors and patients entering the hospital Gift Shop by providing excellent customer service. The Gift Shop Clerk runs the register and provides support to Gift Shop Volunteers. The Gift Shop Clerk responds to requests for support of the Gift Shop from the Director and the Gift Shop Coordinator. The Gift Shop Clerk is responsible for the daily drawer count and deposit for the Gift Shop during their shift. The Gift Shop Clerk is responsible for directing volunteers while on duty at the Gift Shop and provides support for the Volunteer Services Department.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
- Two years retail demonstrated experience in: running cash register providing outstanding customer service to a diverse customer base cash handling and deposits inventory control and restocking.
Desired
- Clerical skills with strong phone and organizational skills
- Two years customer service experience
- One year or more of college course work (general studies)
- Experience working with teens in a supervisory capacity
- Knowledge of Enloe Health services
- Working with volunteers of all ages
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must be able work in a fastpaced environment interacting professionally with physicians patients visitors volunteers and staff. Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully. Must possess strong customer service skills and have experience running a cash register and counting cash drawers. General computer skills are necessary as well as written and verbal communication skills organizational and multitasking skills. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
