Position: English Language Learner Teacher

Job Description
Scope
The English Language Learner Teacher will develop and coordinate the ELL program for K12th grade students with the initial focus on middle and high school students. The ELL teacher will provideELL/academic training and support to teachers and ELL students in effort to maintain consistent standard as for all of our students.
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith
Candidate shall possess:
- A Bachelors degree or higher with a concentration/certification in ELL
- A minimum of 3 years experience in and/or developing ELL programs is preferred
- Knowledge and experience in writing and implementing individualized educational plans
- Experience with interpreting and explaining standardized test results
- An ACSI Teacher certification and a state teaching certificate or be in the process of obtaining certification
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain ELL caseload K12th grade
- Administer WIDA testing to determine accommodations needed
- Develop and monitor Accommodation/Modification Plans for ELL students as needed
- Work closely with teachers regarding ongoing curriculum needs and development for ELL students
- Collaborate with the school counselors on monitoring grades and on following procedures for students with academic concerns
- Be available and provide support to administrators teachers parents and students to discuss needs and areas of concerns
Outcomes
- Increase the support services provided to elementary middle school and high school ELL students
Reporting Relationship
The English Language Learner Teacher will report to the Director of Educational Resources.
