Welder Fabricator Apprenticeship Opportunity
Job Purpose:
We are seeking motivated individuals to undertake a comprehensive fouryear training programme to become fully qualified Welder Fabricators in our Manufacturing team.
Key Features of the Apprenticeship:
Fouryear course combining practical training and further education
Work alongside experienced engineers in a friendly team environment
Day release to training provider for Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering
Regular salary reviews based on individual progress
Main Duties:
Weld and manufacture large and small fabrications to a high standard within specified times
Become proficient in MIG/TIG/MMA welding techniques
Weld mild and stainlesssteel components
Interpret engineering (fabrication) drawings and specifications
Assist with testing of finished equipment and complete test records
Work within planned job times and provide feedback on deviations
Contribute to machine and process improvements
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting other sections when required
Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
Candidate Profile:
Genuine interest in practical engineering demonstrated through projects or hobbies
Selfmotivated with a determination to succeed
Good communication skills
Curiosity about how things work
Passion for learning new skills
Ability to contribute effectively to teamwork
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above

Work Arrangement:
This apprenticeship is based at our Peterborough site with the possibility of occasional travel to customer sites as part of installation and commissioning teams.
