Job Description
Ventia are currently seeking to engage an experienced Field Lead for our Defence Base Services contract in Darwin NT. This role would see you based at RAAF Base Darwin. Your primarily responsibilities would be to providing a high level of customer service managing key stake holders as well as supervision and coordination to the building trades to effectively maintain repair replace and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment within the Defence contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- First response coordination and onsite ground control of emerging Estate Upkeep outages impacting Asset availability.
- Implementation and issuing of the Ventia Permit to Work System. Site auditing of work activity safety documentation and conduct of Operational Process Confirmation as required.
- Participation in Subcontractor and Project Management Quality Control activities including validation of work scope completion and value for money assessments.
- Provision of site access coordination including inductions access to drawings maps and escorts for Subcontractors.
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate onbase liaison and relationships with key Client and Customer representatives.
- Ensure all information regarding works is entered into relevant systems in a timely manner.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Infrastructure Services Manager.
Skills & Experience
- Trade or tertiary qualifications or experience in at least one of the following Carpentry/Building/plumbing/Handy person
- Welldeveloped interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to interact collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and maintain positive relationships with Client and Customer.
- Proficiency with use of Microsoft Office packages and ability to learn/use computerised software.
- Proficiency in the Permit to Work System and qualifications in at least one high risk discipline would be highly desirable.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
