Job Description
The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will give our community its firstever wellness destination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education exercise resources and stateoftheart care like they never have before. We offer over 200000 square feet and has 58 acute cate beds in our new stateoftheart regional hospital. Our campus also features an organic farm with access to nutrition education and therapies. We will serve as a community hub that touches residents of all ages and promotes a higher quality of life. This is a new model of collaboration between ProMedica and the community. We are excited to set a new standard for health and wellness in Lenawee County.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with and recording day to day operations of ProMedica Farms growing season plans to plant harvest and maintain produce at the farm.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Activities may include but are not limited to watering weeding planting harvesting and maintaining of hoophouse and outdoor gardens.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduate or GED.
Skills: Ability to determine watering harvesting and maintenance needs of basic flower and vegetable garden plants.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate Degree
Skills: Advanced gardening skills
Years of Experience: 3 years with garden maintenance experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: Mask and gloves as needed.
Physical Demands: Must be able to read and speak the English language. Must be able to lift push or pull over 50 lbs. On a routine basis. Frequent reaching/stooping/bending/kneeling/crouching. Frequent prolonged standing/ walking/sitting. Must be able to tolerate a variety of weather conditions for prolonged periods and both indoor and outdoor climates. Must be able to tolerate the Michigan climate tolerating both heat and cold. May be able to work with tools associated with gardening. Must be able to tolerate airborne irritants dust and other environmental irritants related to gardening.
