Position/Title: Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Interventionist

Location:Moody Elementary School

Position Broad Function: Supports the SEL through direct and indirect Tier I II and III intervention

Supervised By: School Social Worker/Psychologist and School Principal

Qualification Profile:

• A Bachelors Degree in psychology social work human services or other related field
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is strongly preferred
• An Associates degree in a related field with equivalent experience will be considered
• Ability to relate to students staff and families in a positive and effective manner
• Experience facilitating small groups with children is preferred
• Experience working in a diverse and multicultural community
• Ability to work independently and take initiative with tasks
• Ability to be flexible in an active school environment.

Compensation and Benefits: $25.30 Per Hour. 35 Hours Per Week. Health benefits offered (Medical OnlyMirrors District Paraprofessional Health Coverage)

Interventionistsare provided with 5 sick days and 1 personal day to use by the end of the year. Interventionistsare not entitled to paid holidays. Sick and personal days must be used during the assigned work year or forfeited on June 30th of the school year. Interventionusts are not allowed tobe reimbursed for unused sick or personal days if and when employment has ended.
