The Civil Designer plays a key role in creating revising and preparing various design documents and solutions to support the Engineering Real Estate Legal and Construction teams involved in the development of RaceTrac convenience stores. This position offers support to both internal team members and external consultants engaged in the engineering and legal processes related to acquiring disposing of or developing commercial real estate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Delivers accurate and timely design outputs based on specific criteria provided by internal teams and external consultants.
- Reviews and interprets technical documents including ALTA/ACSM boundary surveys topographical surveys legal descriptions property exhibits civil plans and related reports.
- Collaborates with a variety of internal departments and external partners to develop design deliverables such as Preliminary Site Plans Contract Exhibits Civil Site Plans Grading Plans and Easement Exhibits using AutoCAD and other civil design software tools.
- Establishes consistent standards for preparing and distributing design documents helping improve workflow efficiency and document accuracy.
- Manages multiple tasks and requests from internal stakeholders prioritizing based on urgency and complexity.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external partners to ensure clear understanding of design needs and project goals.
- Leads oneonone sessions with internal clients to clearly present and explain design concepts and updates.
- Occasionally takes on the role of Design Standards Administrator responsible for updating or developing standard design documents such as RaceTrac/RaceWay details AnyTown Plans and order form templates and sharing those updates with relevant internal teams.
- May also serve as AutoCAD Support Administrator which includes maintaining and enhancing CAD tools such as custom blocks LISP routines design templates layer standards and plot styles and distributing these resources to fellow Civil Designers.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in surveying Civil or Environmental engineering required.
- 2 years experience using Autodesk Civil3d 2020 or more recent used in conjunction with civil engineering or surveying projects required.
- Field experience on construction sites or preconstruction processes preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office specifically Excel required.
- Experience using document management software preferred.
Contract details:
- Hourly Pay Rate $30.50 (Negotiable)
