Description:
A company of medical technology with millions of TechMed products is looking for a Injection Molding Press Technician (Day Shift) Hours: 7AM 7PM.
Essential Functions:
- Contributes to the Molding Business Units key goals with a demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions to address gaps in achieving objectives.
- Primarily focuses on the repair and maintenance of molding presses.
- Possesses knowledge of established safety protocols and how operators should interact with equipment.
- Maintains awareness of product performance and quality standards within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
- Assists technical teams with troubleshooting maintaining molding presses improving process efficiency and conducting press preventive maintenance.
- Clearly understands the role of a Diagnostic Technician in a molding environment.
- Familiar with the injection molding process including both mold and press technologies.
- Required to gain a solid understanding of all equipment within their responsibility including setup process/press adjustments and identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Takes daily guidance from the Molding Process Engineer and Senior Mold Diagnostic Technician.
- Performs any other duties as requested by the Molding Process Engineer or Senior Mold Diagnostic Technician.
- Provides direction and support to personnel such as mold setters and technicians assisting with modifications process adjustments or the removal and installation of new or existing equipment as needed.
- May offer technical guidance to press vendors controls and electronic technicians when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a molding environment along with the following certifications: Molding Processing Certification RJG Essential/Master Molder I or equivalent training.
- Demonstrated ability to grasp and comprehend complex moldingrelated concepts and principles.
- Required experience in the following areas:
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of mold presses
- Experience with hydraulic and servocontrolled systems
- Programming troubleshooting and maintenance of mold temperature controllers
- Knowledge of material feed systems including silotohopper operations
- Ability to work rotating 12hour shifts (day)
Preferred Qualifications:
Training from a major molding press manufacturer in maintenance and repair.
